Extreme Festival to end season on high note at Zwartkops.

Zwartkops Raceway near Pretoria will end its activities for 2013 on a festive note next Saturday (November 30). The final round of the season’s Extreme Festival series will see eight separate categories racing on both four and two wheels, while activities beside the circuit should keep spectators of all ages happy.

Topping the bill will be two races for Extreme Supercars, with three of South Africa’s very quickest club racing cars lining up to set the record straight.

Meeting on track for the first time will be the works Porsche GT2 of Toby Venter, the Vaal Fluids Dodge Viper V10 of Charl Arrangies, and the Siris Engineering BMW 335i of Lee Thompson...

The 2013 Hankook SA National Formula Vee Championship has already been resolved, in favour of young Scott Temple (Ferodo Rhema 2) and he can now approach the final Zwartkops Extreme Festival event of the year, on the 30th November 2013, as a victory celebration, leaving the rest of the field to battle it out, in an effort to improve their standings on the final Championship log.

Extreme ends the year with a bang!

Extreme Festival - 2013

Season finale of the Extreme Festival at Zwartkops on Saturday 30th of November 2013 will be spectacular with motor racing and superbike racing of categories like the Extreme Supercars, Formula Vee, Rosso Challenge, Kawasaki ZX10 Masters, Thunderbikes, Brunch Run, Superhatch, 111 Sports & Saloons, Alfa Trofeo and club invitation category of the BMW Car Club.

Added entertainment will be provided on the event with sideways passenger rides on the go-kart circuit, beer garden, exhibitor stalls, live bands, DJ’s, sound off competition, show-n-shine, kiddies play park and more.

SuperHatch and 111 join forces for the first ever Phakisa 200

SuperHatch and 111 Sports & Saloons joined forces and the Extreme Festival played host to the first Phakisa 200 event which is not open to all sorts of sports cars and so on like other endurance races, this is just for tin tops with a time cut off of 1:52.000

And for SuperHatch the points that are up for grabs are well worthwhile… 5 points for being there, one set of points for finishing order within your class and another set for the index results… so consistency is key along with the package for sprint races and of course in a long distance race – let’s not forget the pit stop…
